Though ill, Everin had never been happier. As she placed Jace into his bed of leaves and petals and covered him with his patched and stitched red blanket, she couldn't help but smile. The wooden crib was alit by his lively eyes, innocent and unaware of his family's current hard times. His only concern was his mother leaving the side of the crib before he fell into the sleep he was fighting. She wasn't leaving soon, though. As Geroh had been out securing the home for a coming storm, she watched Jace seeing as it was all she was capable of doing as far as her physical strength was concerned. Her hands reached down to fix his blanket, which he'd kicked off himself in his tired fuss. Her hand soon after found it's way to rub his cheek, her thumb softly rubbing over his birthmark. His skin was soft, given he was so young and his skin hadn't hardened. Everin's own hands were soft, as if carved wood- that just being her natural skin texture."You're such a fighter, but you need to rest those eyes. It's getting late, Jacon." she sighed. Though, her words were unintelligible to the sapling deku, he still seemed happy just to hear her interacting with him. She continued- "Why not save the strength, hmm?" she once again fixed his blanket that he so surely rebelled against… "I can bet you will do great things someday, especially with that stubbornness and fighting spirit. Such a tough baby boy."

Yes, I used one of my bases. And no, I'm not ashamed. I was bored, and started a small project, then ended up biting off more than I expected to chew as I started shading it. What was meant to be a couple-hour project, had ended up being worked on off and on for weeks. Wow. It's not often I do complex shading in MS Paint. Jace and everything in/on the crib was MS Paint, the dark BG was a quickie done in Paint Tool SAI.
Short story was just a little thing to go with it~ Here's baby Jacon Verin Leavance~! And look! His elbow leaves! We never see them when he's older cause he plucks them, seeing as they get in the way on travels XD but yes, he does have some parts on him where his leaves are red because Everin has red leaves.
Excuse me as I get to a few messages before switching back to my Window's computer to color more things.

Haha, yup xD Jace has some fabulous elbow leaves, if he'd only grow them out. Though they often get in his way and get hung in his cloths, so he just plucks them, pfft.

Wait wait, this is Paint? As in, Microsoft Paint? I don't know whether to be amazed of your talent, or ashamed of mine.
Hey remember when I said I'm no authority on cute? (If it's even you I said that too, sorry it's just sometimes I mix up who I've said what to.) Well, I think I can safely say, this is adorable, though, not gonna lie, this almost looks like it was drawn in King's Quest VII's style. I mean, that's not a bad thing, at least I hope not, but still, your ability to draw is just amazing, as well as being able to tell a story.
Oh and, when Everin said Jace's name, I thought it said Bacon for a minute, and I found it absolutely hilarious.

Yesssss, I started with chronological order by reading The Quest of Seven first (I really like Orange and Vitani X3), and I stayed up a tad late to finish reading all of those, and read all the way up through Chapter Three of Lost in Termina, moving on to Chapter Four today. I gotta say, even for a story that was written several years ago, your writing is marvelous! The build up, the hints, the small details that lead up to important things in the plot later; it's spectacular! Your literary construction skills are unique, and you truly take command of your own writing style. A truly well thought-out, excellently plotted tale! Thus far I'm loving it! I've had some good laughs with Iris' sarcastic humor and her quips against Jace.
The more I read, the more I realize that Iko herself is somewhat of a mix of the two's personalities; although she was very nervous as a kid, unsure of things and a bit scared of everything. But then things changed when the fire nation attacked she met Purify and began to find her courage. Now she's quite the polar opposite of how she was as a young'n, a bit overconfident no thanks to her natural pinpoint aim. No worries, she'll humble up someday! XD
Say, if you ever need a hand with some grammar and spell checking, I'll be happy to help you out! For once it'd be nice to make use of my grammar nazi ways XDDD*brick'd*
You're absolutely welcome! My first deviation on here was a Paint drawing actually! Sadly, I deleted it a couple of years ago when cleaning up my gallery a bit. Then I discovered how to put deviations in storage earlier this year X'DDDD I believe Tess' ancient app for a closed down group is my only evidence of paint usage. I used Paint to blend my paper scan into the application and add some text. People still fave that ancient drawing to this day! It's quite true, though, it being time consuming. I can't remember how long it took me to simply slap my picture onto that app and add what, two lines of text? Hours must've flown by! Then I found GIMP, and quickly discarded Paint from my tool box. XD

Dang, you read all that!? Good gravy you are patient! Because all three parts of TQoS are long XD and most of the LIT chapters are pretty long, too. Taken me ages just to fix up errors in part one of TQoS
Oh wow, thank you so, so much! I am quite honored you like it so much! I look back, and I started writing these after I quit writing for some three years. (I used to write Sonic fanfics. Let's just say they were awful, and I got a lot of trolls on them to the point I literally just dropped literature for a few years. I came back with a vengeance, though! And a new fandom!) I think the only drastic changes that I'll be making in TQoS, is that the giant dragon will be killed by Ryuko so he's not just "vanishing" at the end XD I will say, I had plans for that dragon at first, but I dropped it quite some time ago. Gotta kill it off so there's not a random dragon terrorizing Termina behind the scenes!

Yep! I used to spend my free hours of the day just reading; if the story captivates me enough, I'll keep reading until there's nothing left to read. XD Oh my goodness, those long chapters were quite a fresh breath of air! It's not often that I get to enjoy such long chapters in the books I've had to read. I really love to read!

She's currently roughly around 19-20 years of age, so she's had time to grow up a bit. She still has a lot more to do though! XD That nervous side of hers seldom shows, but it's still present; just sort of buried under all of that confidence and other distractions. Take that confidence away, and she's a lost, nervous wreck. Overconfidence is also what gets every young adventurer into heaps of trouble! A major requirement for adventuring. XDD

Mine was a poorly done logo of sorts for my main character back int he day, Laraina Blazingstar. I have no regrets over deleting that ancient thing, since I still have its image in my mind (and on the computer I created it on). I have the same issue! I've got works that are nearly/ over 3 years old that some people still fave. X'D They tend to fave this old stuff of mine not too long after I post something new. Like, c'mon people, really? ;A;
GIMP was my doorway to digital arts, and I learned a lot from using that thing regularly back when I still drew on paper regularly. Purchasing my graphics tablet was one of the best purchases I've made yet! If it wasn't for GIMP, I wouldn't be where I'm at right now. ;u; I'd most likely still be working with paper and burning through sketchbooks every month. XD
