i stumbled upon this and while this is certainly not my kind of cup of tea art, i do appreciate the effort that the artist put in?
i'm going to go and say that i like how her matching set of... undies and bra matches her hair and the little specks in the wall. i wish the wall was a little darker though but i guess that would kind of clash with the hair. o;

The question "what is art" is an unanswered and open question.
I could chew up an apple, spit it out, photograph it and call it art. .. and it could be art, by definition.

How is it not? Its taken skill and time and dedication to get as good at photography as this person. She's just a young lady who's had her photo taken. Classic painting featured prostitutes and nude women and it's seen in museums around the world. Whats the difference? Except the fact that this girl has more clothes on.

Yes, in a very sexual manner that was probably not meant to be looked upon as art, but to be rigorously fapped to by young males who lack partners, I am not saying it does not take skill however. and yes, your argument about the paintings is true, except they featured lavish amounts of detail in all the little corners of the painting while this only has a brick wall to admire should you look past that young lady.

I'm not trashing your art or anything but, How can someone take a picture of a half naked woman and call it " Art ". To me it will NEVER be considered art just pornography.
And considering your art work was called "wall" I would have expected just the brick wall :l

Your art work was called "wall" not "half naked girl in front of the wall".
But Like I said I will NEVER see this kind of thing as "art".
Back then was different it was all paintings which was art, now it's just photography and to any people that see it like I do will just continue to call it pornography.

What about Jackson Pollock's no. 5...it has nothing to do with the number 5. Why does the name have to spell out exactly what the image is?
Thats not true, when the images were first painted they were exceptionally controversial- they were banned for exhibitions and seen as a disgrace- but people eventually came around to seeing them as art. The medium in which they were created makes no difference to the interpretation of the subject. A nude is a nude no matter whether its a painting or a photo.

Actually the medium does count and further the interpretation of the subject, even Pollock believed that hence his peculiar choices of materials. He even stubbed out cigs in his art work xD
