Great work! Love the organic feel and the grass. Very nice combination and transition between grass/moss and low lying plants.

Very impressive work. The depth of vision is well placed. You can really tell the steps flow properly as if you were looking at a real photo of a shrine entrance.
The shadowing is equally well placed and fall beautifully across the pathway.
*stares at the clouds* .............................. quq .................. they are pretty. They are like wispy little fluff balls of happiness.
The trees, and grass are expertly detailed, looking at them can make you feel like you're really there.
Now, as no artist can improve if showered with only nice things, I will leave you with one critique: The building, while detailed somewhat, with flowers and such, could be more coloured, it seems a little plain. This could be your point, if so, I have nothing else to say.
Overall, an impressive picture, Good job.

Thanks for both the comments and critique....the shadowing on the steps was actually a last minute idea, and I'm so glad I did it....
The shrine is intended to be rather plain, but I do think it could use some more normal wear and tear to be more realistic, especially on the roof....
Thanks again!

How are you pronouncing garage? The English way, the American way or the French way?

FCLittle In reply to NekoChanMaasta [2011-05-07 17:23:28 +0000 UTC]
The American way, I guess....though I think of that sound being a distinctly French sound.....like a vibrating 'sh'....

the French do a sort of J sound, but the A before it is softer than the Americans use. I like the way the French say it, it makes it sound homely and peaceful, rather than the car's kennel where you keep the dirty oils and power tools.

For my purposes I was simply focusing on the sound of the G itself.....
