See? That's why I don't like movie/TV versions. The face is perfectly rendered out just to get the actor's face right, but doesn't really fit in with the rest of the picture.
Don't get me wrong, it's a great piece of art, but that face just doesn't fit...

I actually don't think it looks so much like the actor (a little, yes) - but that's my opinion. I think what makes it "stand out" more is that it's the only flesh-tone/skin you can see in the picture. The rest is clothing, snow, fur. So it will stand out no matter what I think.

It's more about the focus on detail. The face has near perfect skin and beard details and a perfectly realistic lighting while the rest is a little more sketchy.
