I love the textured quality of the coloured sections. It's a great effect that is both delicate and rough at the same time.

I was going to attribute the proportions to your style you know. Quite frankly the elongated curviness of your proportions go with the style you have developed with the curvy colorful things you have going on in the background. Although yeah it has areas in need of improvement but the proportions is not the main focus unless you want to draw them real-like. I'd say you need to improve on your detailing and shaping. Word of advice though, when dealing with organic features avoid being linear with them, they are better expressed by gradations.
