Yeah they're really pretty! They're also really expensive, unless you just buy the small fry
I took those shots at a local "koi village", it was this big building filled with artificial ponds where they raised koi, and the biggest ones cost upwards of $4,000 each!

Yep... depends on the color and quality of the stock. One CAN buy large-ish ones pretty cheaply, but they won't be as pretty and they won't have been as well cared for.
