There are so many tulip photos in the flower clubs, but the centre light spot makes this stand out from the rest.

Could do with a little more sharpness, but the vibrant colours make this so eyecatching. The centre of the flower looks like a floodlight beaming out, and contrasts so well with the purple petals...

I'm still learning how to keep my pictures sharp and in focus. I'm sure it's a rather simple process, but like I said I'm just learning.

It might sound a little crazy for shots in bright daylight, but a tripod could solve your problems if you do have difficulty keeping the camera completely still. If I'm shooting something that's not moving quickly (realistically I could use it for anything other than racing) then I will use it. Just means you virtually eliminate the chance of blur...

I just bought a little tabletop tripod after I took this shot unfortunately. (Have you ever heard of the gorillapod from Joby? It's pretty cool. ) I took this shot indoors and I had no idea it would turn out that well, but it would have been nice to have the tripod then. Eventually I will get a shot without any blur and I will be very proud of myself

Haven't heard of that particular model, but I have seen plenty of mini-tripods around. They're great for small cameras, but I don't think they'd handle an SLR too well...
