Favorite links is a feature of vista's explorer. It allows you to access any folder just with one click. You can have this in XP too with a program called FindeXer.Once you installed FindeXer, go to View>Explorer Bar and select FindeXer. It will appear on the left, you'll notice that the icons and the configuration is not vista like. Right click it and select findexer options.
Here is the perfect vista configuration for it:
Background color: RGB all 252
Hot track BG item: RGB 214, 240, 248
Hot item: RGB 0, 100, 200
Items:
Size 16
Item color RGB 0, 100, 200
Font: Segoe UI, 9, normal (also can be Tahoma)
Seperators:
Solid line, 1, 90%, RGB all 192
To add a item to FindeXer - just drag and drop a folder or shortcut to it.
FindeXer will have awful icons by default, you can change them. Extract the icons (20) supplied in this pack, put them to any folder which will not be moved\deleted\renamed. Then right click a item in FindeXer and select Edit [...]. There you can rename a item and use a custom image,
select browse and go to your icon folder. Select and PNG image and click OK. Now the item will be vista style. You will have to do this with every item. FindeXer saves automaticly, you
can also save the configuration in right click menu.
Vista basic styler toolbar with "Favorite links" text is also included.

When I stepped down from vista to xp this was the main feature I missed.

where can you find the downloads folder and can you make an icon for "removable disk"

You have to create a downloads folder, as for removable disk, you can find it in any vista icon pack

But when I replace the removable disk icon, there is an eject thing covers up the icon, do you know a way how to get rid of that?

To enable Clear Type:
Right click on a blank area of the Desktop and choose [Properties]
Click on the Appearance Tab; Click Effects
Check the box: Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts
In the drop down box select: Clear Type

VTP may not necessarily be causing the problem. I say this only because I have VTP installed on my system, and I can type 3 digits just fine in FindeXer options. Perhaps it is caused by one of the third party applications?

But after I uninstalled VTP it worked fine to me?

You should look here, there's another tutorial with little bit more entries like Recent Changed and such

Recent Changed is totally useless because it's only a fake folder. Nothing new there...

Now you have more Vista feeling for XP
But there is still one little thing left to make it perfect, the real Vista explorer has a blue shellstyle at the bottom of the folder(the one that shows all the file information and picture previews) When you use FindeXer and a similar blue Vista shell for XP, the blue shellstyle does not fill the whole bottom of your folder anymore and is cut. Any idea how to fix this?

No, that's impossible for FindeXer, it's not a shell app.

You spelled "disk" wrong; "disc" is only used for a CD, DVD, etc.
