are there any domesticated ones that yadkas keep as pets or work animals???

they are very dangerous to regular yadkas (sometimes they got eaten while exploring the great plains) and since the 2 races usually don't share the same habitat I'd say no..
however, I'm actually working on a bigger, stronger variant of the yadka race, not so water type as the regular ones... these guy may totally try to domesticate swamp wolves (perhaps if found as little pups) to help them getting food while hunting
anyway, there are always exceptions, so if you feel like Rhy having a swamp wolf friend just do it! :3

I like it I love it, I kinda want it. Gosh. What other color variations do they have? does the throat patch vary? And is the body colors more for the sort of matching its habitat for surprise camouflaged attacks?

yes, their back is camouflage, since the throat reminds their prey of some colorful tasty kind of swamp flower... they're totally ambush kind of predator!
the patch may vary to yellow, orange, red, pink, magenta and purple, but the pattern is usually the same (it may have more or less "petals")
