The truly sad thing is that they usually cut off the fins, while the animal is alive. Then they thorw it back into the water.
Kind of like cuting someone's arms and legs off and dropping them off on the side of the road to die.

You can't live without ending other lifes, but it's not necessary killing an animal to use nothing but one part of it. We need to go back to the basics: the nomads and semi- nomads used every part of the animals.

I rewatched Sharkwater recently, and there was a scene with a couple kids playing with a decapitated hammerhead... head. Yes, I've lost my appetited looong ago.

I agree! It's terrible for the sharks- after they cut off the fins they chuck them back in the water! I was like, I'm never eating shark fin D:
