Description Yay, finally...a realism drawing that isn't a commission.

So here's my mom's cat, Cleo. :3 She looks proud of her "kill" doesn't she?

Don't bitch about the full view being so small. I may scan it larger at a later time, if I get the chance. But then the scribblys in the middle of the picture will show up more, which is one of the reasons I didn't scan it so big. SCRIBBLYS AGH. I got lazy.

Colored with Prismacolor pencils on smooth bristol board. Higlights done with white acrylic paint.

I just don't know how you have the patience. XD I love this so much. Your realistic drawings leave me in awe most of the time. I love calico cats a lot, your mom's cat is adorable.

Actually, she didn't! Doing all the different colors is time consuming, but I guess I was having so much fun, I didn't really pay attention to the time.

Oh wow this looks so beautiful I adore the colours on this 8D the warm colour scheme is really nice and really gives this piece a nice atmsophere :3 Lovely job on Cleo's fur You handled the detailled markings really well and I love the misture of colours you put into the white parts, the cream's and the browns really give more depth to the shading and also the fur texture looks gorgeous it so small and detailled it looks amazing :3 Nice job on drawing the antaomy and drawing her expression too ^_____^ awesome piece!!!!

In the reference, Cleo had yellowish highlights on her fur, so I decided to keep that and add more yellow to the background. XD I miss using yellow. I always get specks everywhere when I color, though. D8< I should have used the lighter colors first, but I didn't know what I was going to do with the background until I was done with Cleo. XD

Aww. >: My one friend is allergic to them, too, but she had a female with a litter of kittens that always slept with her at night ( Cleo was one of the kittens! )--she didn't care. She loved them so much. Though, her allergies weren't as bad as yours sound. She only had sneezing and the burning/itching eyes.

I have the burning/running/itching eyes, sneezing, itchy skin, and then I eventually lose my ability to breathe well. Not fun. I can't even go to Chuck's parent's house without dying.

I called him Velcro City because one could put him anywhere on your body (chest or somewhere that's vertical and flat), and he would just stick there! he wouldn't fall off and one could bend over to where his back was facing the carpet and he'd still cling to you-- like Velcro.

Yikes! I get rashes if I come into contact with mold. Though, it doesn't make me itch or anything. Looks freaky, though. I get the sneezes, sometimes I get the breathing issues, but the episodes aren't as bad as they used to be!

That's cute. XD Rocky would climb up people's legs when he was little. It was always during feeding time, too. And kittens have those needle-sharp claws...aghhh. Painful.

That's just beautiful - I love the colors of the background and how they match the kitty so well. Really nice job. Thank you! The photo ref I took had warm lighting in it, and I wanted to stay with that theme. I don't get to work with yellows often.

OMG I LOVE THE FUR. HOLY CRAP. That's just soooooo pretty. Her colors remind me somewhat of my old cat, Jessie. XD Except she was a major mix of browns and blacks. Hardly any white on her.

Those marks on her must've driven you NUTS. D8 They would surely drive me bonkers. XD

Her whole body is a couple inches longer than my hand. I had very little room to work with. xD But it's rare I do full-body poses, so I wanted to do one, and Cleo's perfect for that. 8D SQUISHY GIRRRL. *Shot.*

Oh yeah. XD I had to keep going back before I'd do the black, and ask myself, "Is that a tan or tabby mark right there?" D8 She's got such cool markings. I need to get a picture of the "heart" mark on her forehead. XD That would be fun to draw.
