Description Managed to finish my baby boy's ref in time for art fight >: )

He's a funky goat man with way, way too much charisma who is a rat for all things gold. He's also extremely blue, king of stealth. This sounds like sarcasm but he's actually SO good on his stealth rolls for someone who has hooves and looks like a slurpee with goat legs.

On the other hand, all of his intelligence and wisdom rolls tend to be god awful and it cracks me up everytime. Literally traded braincells to be pretty.

"𝒮𝒽𝒽𝒽... 𝐻𝒾𝒹𝑒 𝒽𝑒𝓇𝑒, 𝒟𝒶𝓂𝓉𝒽𝓊𝓈. 𝒮𝓉𝒶𝓎 𝓆𝓊𝒾𝑒𝓉, 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝒹𝑜𝓃'𝓉 𝒸𝑜𝓂𝑒 𝑜𝓊𝓉, 𝓃𝑜 𝓂𝒶𝓉𝓉𝑒𝓇 𝓌𝒽𝒶𝓉. 𝒟𝑜𝓃'𝓉 𝓁𝑜𝑜𝓀..."

Those last words at times come back to the tiefling's mind in his dreams, while the blurred figure of his mother closes the door to the secret wagon compartment he'd been confined to. Damthus did not heed her warning, nor could he pry his eyes off the slit between the boards. At times, when he closes his eyes, he could still hear the horrors he witnessed on that day.

Frozen in terror, the young imp was locked in his hideout. He was too scared to leave the partially destroyed wagon, nor could he understand the motive of such cruelty. Was it bandits? A hate crime? Their traveling group had faced both in the past, but he couldn't know. He was but a toddler, there was no such thing as a better judgment.

On the dawn of the third day, a voice came.

"𝕺𝖍, 𝖌𝖔𝖔𝖉𝖓𝖊𝖘𝖘... 𝖂𝖍𝖆𝖙 𝖆 𝖍𝖔𝖗𝖗𝖎𝖇𝖑𝖊 𝖙𝖍𝖎𝖓𝖌..."

Damthus froze, yet again. He couldn't understand the words they were speaking, the same way he didn't understand those before them. Tears ran down his cheeks in silence as he tried to muffle his sobbing, but the halfling's ears were too sharp.

"... Hello, is someone there? Please, I bid you no harm... I am here to help you."

The boy could finally understand what was being said. Tears soaked the floorboards as his little heart palpitated, clinging to the hope that this could be the man to rescue him from his dreadful state. In desperation, Damthus mustered a meek voice.

"... Help... Please help me..."

Quickly, the halfling sought the secret compartment, freeing the impling from his cage. In a primal attempt to flee, Damthus used all that was left of his strength to sprint outside, climbing the nearest tree terrified.

His rescuer, stunned by surprise, slowly approached him. The child's ribs were engraved to the side of his body, and a pungent smell of excrement reeked from his prickly fur. Despite his weak disposition, he refused to climb down. He would only be convinced by a loaf of fresh bread, cheese, and water.

Seeing the remnants of his family has been a memory he has repressed all of his life. Covering them in sheets, burying them - he was only 4 when it happened, and yet could not forget the outcries of those who protected him in their last moments. Ever since, he's traveled alongside his new, beloved Guardian, Falkin Hearthill, who had saved him from the gates of hell. However, his species proved a hindrance to Falkin's business, as most folks in towns despise tieflings and are afraid of them. Even if his guardian reassured him that it was not his fault, Damthus wanted to change this preconception others had of him. He wished to become beloved and famous so that everyone would know of Falkin Favors and his merch. Perhaps then, he can repay him for everything he's done for him.
