Well, it does seem to be working out for you. I'm so curious as to how you get the shading so well. It has this effect that is so unique.

For the shading I did something a bit different than usual, I cell shaded everything first on a multiply layer and then just used a blender and made it look like soft shading. Then I just made another layer, set it to overlay, and did some highlighting (the eyes are a whole other story though, I'll actually be making a "how to" on them after I finish owed art)
