Description
My rather decent replica of the viking age tool chest from Mastermyr on Gotland. All hand made with a functioning lock. The metal parts that required hammer work was made with my self-made germanic style hammer.The wood is spruce, with plugs made from juniper.
The finish was made of a mix of linseed oil, homemade tar and powdered bog iron ore.

Is there a pattern for the locking mechanism ...?

Thank you. The only pattern of the lock is sadly in the chest that the blacksmith school owns. No paperwork that I know of. There might be a pattern in the Mastermyr chest book, though.
