Umm... well.
I went out to feed the cats yesterday. It was fucking cold [we had about half a meter snow here today], even though it was still raining. My hands were freezing from taking the catfood cans out of the boiling water I was warming them up in, and I barely felt anything anymore. When I opened the second can, I recognised there was blood dropping from my finger and into the wet grass, covering the place were I had been standing for a few minutes with a muddy red, diluted by the heavy rain. And so, I took a tissue, covered my finger - which was truly bleeding like hell broke - with it and continued feeding the cats. When I got back to my house, the whole tissue was red and the wound kept bleeding. I tried to dry it, but of course failed, as the blood was covering my jeans already from the raindrops taking it with them and sheding it all over the place. I sat down infront of my house, searching for another tissue, when Fuchsi and Cloudy made their way through to me. Fuchsi looked at my still bleeding finger quite interested and I decided to reach out and show the wound to him. He sniffed around and I managed to capture the picture showed above with my mobile phone.
So now I ended up tearing the bottom side of my finger open without feeling it! I still don't, even though I had to cover half of my finger with a plaster so I would not shed my blood all over the place without knowing.
Maybe I cut it with the first can, maybe with the fence, maybe with one of the bowls, maybe with some wood or maybe someone bit it open, I have no idea. But it appeared to be a clean cut, so I thought of the can right away.

And the morale of this history? Do not become a crazy cat lady when you don't like to see blood because you have to be ready anytime and you might end up walking barefoot through the snow to check a trap or fall down some rocks when the ground is slippery [I managed to grab one of them and pull myself upwards again, otherwise I had probably ended up as a meal for a fox or something; at least for some bugs].

The wound is healing faster than I exspected. I had to spend the last days on cleaning up everything because I recognised my blood was basically ... everywhere. On the food bowls, on boxes with dried food, on catfood cans, on some stones, my clothing and even the box Fuchsi usually sleeps in. I think it had been a better idea to get a big plaster right away instead of being so badass and continueing being a crazy cat lady.
