Description I'm uploading this here because I wanna know if it's pretty enough to turn into a little art card thing.
I got some good feedback on it from SA.n, I just haven't gotten around to editing it yet -_-; remind me.

Also: more of these? I have others but this one's my fave. They're also quick and easy

i like the impressionism in this work. the pinpoint stars seem out of place. perhaps a treatment like van gogh in starry night, but very small? the bold strokes show the power in impressionism well.

I really like the style of this; it definitely doesn't look quick or easy!

I love how you've used the composition to bring the viewers' eye to the dragon and then follow its line of vision to the moon. The clouds make it really stand out and work very well against the 'quiet' area with the stars. The silhouette of the dragon really adds a sense of mystery and contrasts really well with the rest of the painting, especially the waves. :)

its so dreamlike! Is it originally this muted or is it the digital photo pf the work? A lot of my work, even is directly scanned, tend to mute out the darker areas.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

FeralShorton In reply to draze [2011-08-30 14:25:42 +0000 UTC]

Thanks :3 It's probably more muted than the original, black paint always comes out looking a bit faded when I try to upload it x-X

I think its funny that you refer to this as your dragon thing. Its nice though. Is he looking up at a spiral?

very well painted, though at first i didn't see a dragon as much as i saw a hooded figure with his back turned (but maybe that's just me), and in fact, that duality actually makes it a more effective painting for me overall. i love the circles leading to the moon, that tunnel effect really puts emotion into the dragon. stunning work!

Ummm... I got a big flat brush, dipped the edge in black paint and slapped the paper with it >.< then again for white x-X there's still paint on my carpet from that, it was a rather violent process.

I think with violent art, you can just keep piling on the paint until it looks ok
