Description (25 Male to 16 Girl)

Jeremy was down recently, the hum-drum retetition of his daily life had left him terribly depressed, longing for a more exciting time, which often took the for of his squandered youth. He had good memories, good friends, excellent marks, and bright future, but he lacked that one special memory that everyone holds close to their heart: their Senior prom. He was stuck in a rut, reliving his old, unchanging memories, unable to move past it and truly move on with his life.

Jeremy remembered it perfectly. His prom date and former girlfriend broke up with him only a few days before, making him cancel his plans and instead spend his prom night alone with nothing but a joint in his palm instead of her hand. He knew that he'd regret it, he should've just gone, oh how his memories sunk his mind lower and lower. He wanted to go back, to experience the perfect prom, but he couldn't, so he just went to sleep in a pool of his own regrets. A shooting star shot past his window, the last thing he saw before he closed his eyes...

He awoke the next morning, reaching for his phone on the night stand, he found it alright, but it was... different. The case was hot pink with a garrish amount of glitter on the back. It was a shock, but not as big as the one that he would discover immediately afterwards. It was already six, he missed the bus!!!

Jeremy shot out of bed, not really sure why he cared for a 'bus', as he drove to work... work... work. Where did he work again? Oh who cares, that wasn't important, he had to get to school! It was his first day of senior year and he... had been out of school for at least five years already. Only when he paused did he start to notice his surroundings... as well as the changes that had a drastic effect on his, or should he say her body. In the standing mirror of her bedroom (which was now painted pink and covered in boy band posters and fairy lights), he saw a woman, really more of a girl. Sixteen going on Seventeen at the most, she was a Highschooler...

"Jessica! your shoes are still down here, did you miss the bus?" a voice called out to 'her', Instantly, Jeremy recognized her, it was her mother, or rather, the mother of the woman whose body Jeremy was wearing. Maybe Jeremy was dreaming, maybe he was dead, but after a few brief moments of soul searching in her reflection in the mirror, he decided to go along with the madness of the situation.

"Sorry, mom, I overslept, can you drive me?" Jessica responded, before she quickly got dressed and tossed various supplies into her bag.

"I can... just try not to make this a common thing this year, or atleast try and find a friend with a car." Her mom sighed, but her worries wouldn't last very long, as Jessica was a social butterfly, far more outgoing than any of her peers remembered, it wasn't like anyone was going to guess correctly as the the reason for the change, so Jeremy feared nothing and held nothing back. She made friends, lots of friends, and eventually even found a very special friend, one who, near the end of their senior year, slipped a note into her locker, inscribed was a very simple question: "Will you go to prom with me". Jessica was giddy as could be, as was the nearly forgotten Jeremy.

Not willing to let this friend, a boy that she had been crushing over all year long get away, she of course said: "Did you even have to ask, doofus?"

It was the night of the prom, her hair, her makeup, her dress, and her date waiting outside of his mom's sedan, it was all... perfect.

Then Jeremy woke up to his alarm... At first, he wanted to cry, then mope, maybe sob, with a fair bit of general weeping, but then in walked a man carrying a tray of food, it was... the boy from his dream. The one he went to prom with... she went to prom with... Jessica looked around the room, the busted apartment that he went to sleep in was far different from the one that she had awoken inside of.

"Good morning, Honey Bun, I hope you two slept well." The boy set the tray down at the foot of the bed... two? Jessica looked around, but found no one... atleast until she looked down and saw the bump in her belly. She was pregnant, and judging by the ring on his finger and the one on hers, he was the father.

"Jacob." Jessica said, even she didn't quite remember his name, but her lips did, her mind had half a decade of memories, new ones, ones of Jessica and not Jeremy. "Do you remember prom?"

"Well of course I do, it was the best night of my life until you said yes exactly one year ago. Happy anniversary, babe." He planted a kiss on Jessica's lips and everything that was Jeremy seemed to simply disappear, his life, his memories, supplanted by hers. It all passed like a dream, maybe that's all that 'he' was. She looked back on the prom, her memories of that night, the dancing, the music, the moment when she locked eyes with Jacob outside of the gym with her heart beating in her ears as she got her first kiss, a favor that she repaid by quickly pecking her husband on the cheek before digging into her breakfast.

In her mind, all she could think about was that perfect night, that perfect memory that was the capstone of her highschool career. One that she was perfectly ready to move on from and begin her adult life with her new husband and a baby on the way.

Personally, I love reminiscing about my happy memories, they only seem to improve the more I think about them. 🥰💕
Hope you all enjoy!
Might do more age related stuff, but personally it isn't really my thing. 😕

P.S. Sorry for not posting recently. 😔
