Laminate, as far as I can tell. Which serves me better in the studio, anyway - what with all the messes with blood, flour, and paint. XD

I'm curious as to the difference in color and consistency. One day I am going to buy a half gallon of cow or pig blood and if I can't find a model with the guts for it, I will pour it on myself for photos. XD

I can tell you from surgical experience..... add a little bit of black to it and make it just a bit thicker, maybe with a touch of cornstarch.
Blood coagulates when lots of it hits air: It's the body's natural attempt to close up a cut so we don't bleed to death. With lots of it outside the body, it starts to have a darker appearance and is slightly tacky. It will congeal to a liquid-thin Goop-look on solid surfaces and sometimes even has to be scrubbed off of tile almost like it was paint. It looks like dark, red clay when dried on clothing.
