I, like many of my co-workers, am a big fan of this species. Its tiny buy features alot of color, including bright red when it opens as you can see through the wings when closed. Because of its two spots and relation to the 88 butterfly it is known as the Two-eyed 88.Scientific Name: Callicore pitheas
Family: Nymphalidae
Subfamily: Biblidinae

Very pretty butterfly! Great job Ryan! Wish they would get this one at the Butterfly House. I really like the bright blue spots and lines! Now you need to get a picture of one with the wings open.
