Description This piece was a long time in coming (since 2008 in fact) but until now i didnt quite have the skills to pull it off ...i dunno if i have the skills now but i enjoyed this epic piece (ive ALWAYS wanted to draw this room .....dunno why but i do)

not entirely cannon (insofar as i know) as of yet Flake hasn't written them in shirtsleeves but i was tempted and so i drew it thus
any liberties ive taken in this pic are my own

Oh my dear, this is gorgeous! You're making me all excited about the map room, now XD All those scrolled maps (I really love the way you've drawn them in the pigeon holes), the books, map table (which is awesome) and the wardlines - I can't stop starting at that wall. It's fantastic!

And Doumeki and Watanuki. I love the way you illustrate them! I love Watanuki's braced stance and Doumeki's serious hand on hip wariness! There is serious business going on here XD I'm pretty sure I've written some shirtsleeves for the future - and there's definitely going to be some more now!

I'm impressed that you were able to bring this sort of life into the room at all; whenever I try to imagine the room in it's entirety, I just draw a huge blank!

LOL admittedly I'm that way with most authors, I can count on one hand the amount of authors and subsequently stories that I can actually imagine the storyline and the scenes that take place in it (certainly I have a mental image but nothing really art worthy ) but with Flake I see the entire thing as a screen show/anime/cartoon/movie which in turn prompts lots of art which helps me improve, mostly though, I'm just glad people like it

So jealous! I wish a could see stories like that! I need to find out if she's put up any new chapters ... I wanna read more of her stuff.

I like this very much... I am unfamiliar with the fandom it is based on, however I do think you did a wonderful job.
