thanks- it is very awesome to wear. When I get slightly overheated during a dance, towards the end, and when the intrigue of my coat is starting to wear off, I take off my coat, revealing this waistcoat and suddenly all the dancers are jumping towards me, haha!

Wow! Really nice. It looks like the pattern matches up in the front nicely (as far as I can tell at this angle). I might have taken the silk in another inch on the inside of the lapels, but I suppose if this is worn with a cravat the lining won't show like it does in the photo. The silvertone buttons against the antique gold fabric really grab one's attention.

thanks for the compliments! It does line up very nicely in the front, but there was that slight concern about the lapels. I did make them just an inch too long/far out, but with a cravat the lining gets well covered. The buttons have a paisley design on them which also matches the paisley button on the cockade on my tricorn

thanks- really need to be when tailoring. It took an incredibly long amount of time just to be satisfied with the patterns I made for the waistcoat and coat (maybe 5-7 hours for the coat alone?).
Judging by your previous comment, I'm assuming you do some sewing/tailoring?

You make your own patterns? Impressive!

I do know how, but I haven't in years. My sister, though, makes a lot of costumes for herself and her friends. She's really into Ren faires: [link] !/photo.php?pid=5669914&op=1&o=global&view=global&subj=588243064&id=588243064

I really should make her get an account here, I think; she needs to talk to other people who makes costumes, because she's really good but she doesn't always pay as much attention to details as she should.

I think you should have her get an account if she does sew. It's a great way to see what other people are doing and how they are doing it. I see other people's works and I get inspired to do just as well if not better- improve my skills, if you will.
Nice art work by the way

I'll definitely bring it up again. Maybe I'll send her to your gallery to see what's what.
And thank you!

... Well, I don't actually know you, but still, that's what I'd do. I'm not gonna lie.

I don't remember exactly what the materials cost me, but if I made it for someone, it would be in the ballpark of $120.
