I remember the first time I laid eyes on the mythological character: Medusa. It was in the 80's when my parents forced me to watch what I thought was a scary movie back then:Clash of the Titans. Nowadays, of course, I like the film and especially the Medusa. This is an awesome character and more people should try to draw her. This was my first attempt that actually didn't look like shit...so that's why it's here! This is a companion drawing to "I Am Pan" because they're both on the same page on my sketchbook.
p.s. she can turn people into rock...isn't that cool!!!!

Dispite you say it looks like shit I still think it looks cool. Love the hair and the detail you go into in the tail. I wonder the kind of hidden messages that are written in there...hmm makes me wonder...

HAHAHA! I just bought CLASH OF THE TITANS on DVD about 2 months ago! The only memories I had of it were the INCREDIBLE special effects of the Kraken and the phenomenaly real SCARY AS HELL Madeusa!
Then I watched the movie again... *cough*
Oh, don't get me wrong, I LOVE the movie and feel fully justified buying the movie, but man was I an idiot as a kid. It's kinda disheartening seeing all those memoried you've built up in your head get bashed down by a cheezy claymation/rubber Kraken and a fakey, jerky Madeusa. BUT STILL! GREAT MOVIE!
And the drawing is fantastic! Great pose and snake hair. You have a great animation style that I love to watch. I look forward to your posts.

Love the use of line! The snakes are especially well done, and the whole picture is handled well.
