Note to self, try to avoid cartoon like pics with detailed textures.On the previous work I did, I joked on how the Fishman is insecure about his smile because of how his tooth was knocked out by the Rubber Ducky.
He is not full duck, he is part man, woodpecker, duck with a growth hormone deficiency (hence the name) and reptile.
He used to be less rugged, but that was before he took a vicious uppercut to the pecker by the Uber Duber Mega Doomer, got a full nelson from Mantis Mckinnon and burn marks from Ralphy the Acid Spitter.
The vicious uppercut also pressed his face in, also as a result he can't close his mouth fully anymore. Which is the reason for his false teeth that he loves to keep pearly white.

Side note: I gave permission for group members of to use this work as a concept template for 3D modeling. My only conditions are that you credit the original design with a link back to my profile and you notify me on the completed work (I'm actually curious to see what you came up with!).

This is amazing! Wacky, funny.. a little grim. The crazy looking eyes, the snarled teeth, the phrase on his shoulders. What's not to love??
When you think of rubber duckies, this ain't something that comes to mind. It's a brilliant vision, with amazing impact. The technique is so cool. The little details are insanely impressive: the scars, the metal fists, the shadows. I could go on, but it's best to let the imagery soak in to the viewer.
I have to share that beak is crazy looking it itself. It makes you wonder if he's been in a fight or a series of fights. If either is the case, you know he's good for more.

If I could sum this piece up in one word, I would have to say FANTASTIC! The first thing that struck me about this piece is the use of high contrast in the shading and shadows and puts the face and expression of the duck front and center. The texturing is immpecable. The down is presented in a very realistic way down to the choice of colors. The wounds and skin imperfections are also presented greatly with his texturing and says "I'm here," yet not too overpowing to be the main focal point of the piece. The armor, while greatly shadowed, is menacing with its rigidity and sharpness. Great job over all. A very well-done work by a talented artist! Perfect 5!

Dude this is some awesome character work! And it got a DD - well deserved! Even without your description, it's easy for viewers to come up with a story for this guy. Not to mention the dimension and texturing are great.

- Techniques? I drew the face in my sketch book as a doodle and digitally painted it in photoshop. I didn't use too many exotic brushes (except the back ground and some one the metal). I just painted bases on how the light would hit certain areas.
- I'm alright with you drawing it and putting it on DA, that is completely your choice
