Marvelous! A gentle illustration with the most simple of tools. This should be a reminder to any artist that it's not what you have (expensive programs, tons of brushes, etc.), it's how you use what you've got. Sometimes software and hardware restrains us; sometimes it sets us free.

Thanks I've always been a believer in creativity over tools. I do agree there is a difference between more expensive tools and cheaper ones, obviously, but until you know what you're up to, I don't see the need to spend lots of money on expensive things.

For the way I vector, which is generally lots of semi transparent layers built up, it makes no difference whether I use Inkskape or Illustrator. That and you get comfy with your tools so you learn what's what, I'd probably be worse in Illustrator due to knowing where nothing is XD
