Birdie was wasted potential in shadowfalls IMO. He could have betrayed Karin at some point. It really annoyed me how Karin was like the stephanie mcmahon of shadowfalls, as absolutely no one could get one over on her. The closest I could think is when Rashid stole that one piece from her, after he lost.

Yeah, for how much we all wanted an expansive story mode in the game it wasn't as great as I would've liked. And speaking of underutilized, necalli was a joke in shadowfalls. Ah well, one day we'll get a script writer that loves the series and is inspired enough to make something truly ground breaking.

Personally, I saddens me what a huge missed opportunity it was by not having Guile the leader of the team, if only as a nice reference to the cheesey 90's cartoon. I mean the guy is a high ranking military official, whereas Karin is just wealthy as fuck. Also I was kinda upset that Ryu, the true hero, was treated as nothing more than a McGuffin in the overall story, though him appearing at the end with the Mu No Ken was great.
