Working on Mahari was so much fun! She is the first to feature my dragon pattern 2.0! Every single piece of the pattern was tweaked to give it a sturdier build and cuter look. A lot of the tweaking was internal, but there are a few external changes, most notably the eyes.

Mahari has a super fluffy mane that was quite the chore, let me tell you! I didn't want to do just one piece down the body with satin-stitching dividing the colors. I like my dragons to look more detailed than that, so I settled with 22 individual pieces attached one-by-one by hand. I may or may not have sliced my fingers open with the needle several times from sheer pressure of that many layers of fabric. Worth it though! And I did come up with a way to attach them so that her mane is full and fluffy, while the tail is still completely pose-able.

Alrighty, now on to the four other dragons on my list!
