Description
Here's the third Mass Effect motivator I promised.
Here's to all the fangirls (Calibration Girls and Thanemancers alike) who supported the coolest squad members in Mass Effect 2 (and ME1 and ME3, if you count Garrus alone). Cheers!

Considering how many fangirls are attracted to a "big, spikey monster," I get the impression it wouldn't matter if Garrus were a fat, pimply human so long as he had the same voice and lines.

For instance, Garrus goes to war during the day and on the same night sits at the table and returns to his old charismatic self. Same with Thane, too. They always steal the attention when they enter a room and are just all around great at everything they do.

Good point there. One can only dream of being that amazing in real life. The least those two could do for us in real life is to serve as role models to surpass.

They definitely would be great role models from the gaming universe, even if Shepard has been the one given them the advice, especially with Garrus when he wanted his revenge on Sidonis.

You're right. If anyone is a good role model it's Shepard. I don't know why you don't see more, fangirl and 'boys drooling over Shepard, too.
Okay, I'll list some of the ways.
I like to travel new worlds as apart of the experience. Witness first hand how far the imagination can be stretched. Meet new and unusual people, sit back and relax while they chat up a storm. And learn new imagined cultures that wouldn't exist anywhere. Most of all, I love the rush you get from being "there" when it's all said and done. After you've seen the tragedies and restoration. At the end of the journey, I feel like I've accomplished something.

It's probably because Shepard is a developing character who's formed into the person we choose him or her to be.

Hawke from Dragon age. Okay, bear with me here. I want to make a quick guess at what type of character you made for DA 2. Your Hawke is a female Warrior who is already a little renegade, so to say, but not to much. Oh, and I have a feeling she may have red hair of some sort.*crosses fingers O_O

Actually, I haven't started DA2 yet; my brother's been having too much fun with it at the moment while I've been trying out World of Warcraft (which is awesome!). But you're on the right track to how I'm going to design my Hawke when I start playing.

I was in a love triangle between the two of them in ME2, if only polyamory were possible in ME ...
(Not literally in a love triangle though, they only had that when romancing the woman in the first ME.)

What a coincidence. I was going for Jacob on my first playthrough, but then ended up falling for Thane just after I recruited him.

I know, and he was much MUCH more interesting than Jacob.
Eventually, everytime I tried to get to dump Jacob, I get this scenario.
