I think it is time for a year end summary of the art to date
first there was my dream which became this a clay sculpture - then came the mold - then I began the long process which I have been doing for all winter. First I can prep the 27 parts of the mold for casting. The last pice will be cast in 5 days - sculpting in the mold. I could have done the fine sculpting in the clay but I feared the cold would stop the entire project. Note the plaster on the ground: I through 750# of plaster on 2 my sculpture. The mess would have trashed my studio so I did it outside as it turned cold and rainy. The plaster willnot propley cure at cold temps and it did get below those temps. I was cold and soaked for days with my hands elbow deep in water the bad wether did bad things to my mold I fixed all of it then primed it for casting say a week for each part but I did several parts at a time this part is now prepared to cast the casting process one piece at a time my 3 D puzzle reassembles it is now too heavy for me to handle alone, so I carefully remove part of the mold I no longer need allowing you to see my art a pleasure for me after all these month's
