Description Yay it's finished.

Well this is a scan and edit of the image from my sister's laptop, so I'm not *entirely* sure that all the colours and levels are ok, but I am happy it is done and I can share it with people.

I will edit it for print soon

So this is the biggest image I've *completed* so far.
The original is just smaller than A1. (That's 10 scans on my A4 scanner before stitching it back together)
It was created with alcohol based markers, watercolour ink, coloured pencil and fineliner pigment ink on Bristol Board.

I also chipped half my nails framing it

The flowers are - wisteria, hibiscus, chrysanthemums, orchids and peony.
It was themed that all these flowers could be found naturally in one place (if you know what that country is )
Although colours may differ from their real life counterparts

I hope people enjoy this piece

This is a very stunning piece. First thing that caught my eyes is the details in the flowers. The purple flowers on the bottom are my favorite, I love how you properly drawn the petals and the layering. The orchids are also done amazing, Love the way you showed the veins throughout the petals to give it a more realistic feel to it. The highlight of the purple orchid in the lower right hand corner is a brilliant idea it gives it a soft look.
The landscape is beautiful, The orangey glow from the horizon line is brilliant way to show how the sunrise. The application of blue on the sky is very smooth. Amazing job adding the shades of blue the water to make it have some depth, I noticed that you used a lighter blue on the bottom water portion of the waterfall. This gives the audience the change of current of the water.
I like the muddy look on the rocks, The blending of the colors is very well. I love that you keep a jagged look on the rocks it gives a realistic feel to it. I see a highlights on the rocks which is a nice touch.
The tree branch in the upper right hand corner is a very nice touch. I love the way you darken the one branch in the front and faded the other in the back to show perspective. I like the different approach on the moss hanging from the tree, Instead of making it green you made it purple with some lilac to match the color scheme.
I love the way the birds are done, The way you added the red tips on the end of each wing is fantastic. I like the reddish-orange undertone in the wings it nice to the shading.
The butterflies I'm also a big fan of, I like the way you really saturated the blue of each butterfly. It helps balance out the color scheme.
Overall there is a lot of originality in this through the creativity on the landscape and keeping it with less warm colors and more on the cool colors. This is a really stunning and I hope to see more in the near future e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=" (Smile)"/>

I love this painting. Everything about it is simply fantastic.

First of all, the vision that went into it was incredible. It feels almost like you took a freeze frame from an actual waterfall and painted it. Everything looks so natural, so real, so honest. It looks like the world might have looked before humans came in and fucked it up, excuse my profanity. I am just disgusted with the way humans march in and take what is not theirs to take.

The originality is also amazing. I see a lot of pictures that I critique if I find something or many things about them that I like. But I have not yet seen a picture that is so pure, so natural. Like I said, this could easily be a painting of an actual waterfall. I never see pictures like this, I think because too few people see the potential in landscape paintings, or paintshop, or whatever you used.

The technique, I have already covered in the last two paragraphs. It looks so real, like I could walk right into it, and the impact, well, it took a lot for me to look away from this long enough to critique it, but it was totally worth it. I love it.

From the moment I came to your profile I noticed it was somehow quite different from what I'm usually used to see elsewhere. Every other artist who's profile I have visited so far has used quite measurable amounts of contrast and black colour in their works which then made it look more realistic compared to what it would have looked like if they didn't. But you - you seem to go against that logic, and that is precisely your winning point and your strength.

The unique use of colours and your focus on the overall brightness of the entire drawing make it feel more alive than it would have looked like had you introduced more dark tones to it. It almost feels like there is this entirely new world apart from ours which can be entered and experienced only through this drawing. The drawing itself feels like a portal to it.

One can also immediately come to the conclusion that you have a vast appreciation for the nature and its intricate complexity, which can be witnessed by your desire and efforts to make every single little latice as important as the entire drawing. It can be felt that this is the work which required enormous amounts of patience, dedication, persistance and love to be completed.

You've won me over entirely.

this is just.. wow. breathtaking, amazing, colourful, happy, gorgeous absolutely gorgeous! the perfect amount of contrast, and distribution of colours! im still in awe.. i spent the last 20 minutes just staring at this picture! it's very feminine, and light and airy, and to me everything seems perfect! not a single mistake! absolutely perfect! i don't know very much about art, but i know something simply amazing when i see it. the colours are blended perfectly, and all round, the image was constructed beautifully, very balanced. i have been watching you for a long time now and your progress never ceases to disappoint, but just when you think that art could never get any more amazing and beautiful, we are hit with a massive, well planned, colourful, beautiful piece of work! i'm sure it was very difficult creating such a large piece, but i still hope that you choose to create more pieces just as big and beautiful as this one! e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/>
