in the styles of Gustav Klimt and a little bit of Alfons Mucha.

I've actually been doing a decent amount of drawing, but I haven't been uploading any of it here haha whoops QuQ
You don't have to read the rest of this description but if you wanna hear about some of the research I did for this go ahead!

Sooo this was a project for my Western Art History Survey II class. It was almost a semester-long thing; pick a thing and relate it to one of the artists or movements or whatever that we go over and make a piece (with a 1 page artist statement) or write a paper about it.

I chose to paint a portrait of Joan of Arc à la Klimt and Mucha because Joan was a seriously kickbutt lady and I felt that Klimt's intense and powerful work would be fitting, but at the same time Joan was highly respected and virtuous lady, so I chose to depict her face and stuff more in Mucha's style 'cause he had a way of making ladies look beautiful and attractive and sexy without making it quite as vulgar as Klimt.

I mean the culture Klimt was surrounded by was incredibly promiscuous all the time and he was definitely a product of that, so I don't think it would've been fitting to depict the face of a saint like he would've? haha
and I'm not bernini so
