One of my friends told me that a guy he knew who moved to Italy, I think, got kicked out of his apartment because he bathed too frequently. I thought he must've been taking showers 3 times a day, but it was more like once every 2 days. And he got kicked out. xD

LOL! Maybe water conservation is important in Italy? I think with that sort of situation, just washing your hair and scrubbing yourself down with a bucket of water every day is fine, and then maybe a bath once in a while. Showers and baths do tend to waste a ton of water despite their convenience.

In some places people don't bathe all that often and they think it is "unusual" when you don't have an odor. Like you are "not even there" because they cannot smell you. I'm not sure how I would feel going into a culture where many of the people have body odor. I guess one would get used to it.

... I guess not having to shower every day would be pretty freeing, but... I actually cannot go to sleep if I can smell myself. XD I feel all gross and grimy and it drives me nuts ;u;
I guess it's kinda like how the Chinese people feel about meat? They don't like to smell their meat there. They put things on it specifically to make it not have an odor, and if they can smell the meat, they can send it back.

Sounds like a plan to me! I'm glad they're doing something, Venice is too beautiful to be lost to the sea. So many gorgeous Mediterranean cities are forever lost to the sea.
Oh man, I love the smell of cooked meat! Especially BBQ. Nothing quite like walking down the street and coming across that familiar BBQ scent eminating from someone's yard. It always immediately makes me want it.

There's a lot of trash and gross stuff in the water in Venice, though ;u; We went on a gondola ride there and I dipped my hand in the water, because ROMANCE and why not, and... It wasn't as pretty as I thought it was gonna be XD;; There were trash bags that were broken open just chillin' in the alleys. :c The architecture is gorgeous, though~
