Description
The anti-gryphon of the Mercedes Lackey's The Black Gryphon.Bred to hunt/kill gryphons and mate to make another generation of killers, they make up for what they lack in appearance in animosity. They tend to fly faster than gryphons and the tattered beak and claws make short work once they manage to catch up with their prey.
I'm actually pretty proud of this sketch. Started out as blue pencil sketched, then got some marker hashed over that. Then ink to define everything.

Hells yes! I've read all three books (as well as most of her other ones) and love them all. Awsome picture, by the way it looks just like a seriously messed up gryfon, which is really what Ma'ar created.
