G1 OTP saywhaaaaa? I love this pairing far more than I ought to, but I don’t care. This is an example of how my shipping tendencies work—I don’t think Ironhide and Beachcomber ever really interacted on screen, but their personalities balance each other wonderfully. Ironhide is a warrior, a soldier—you just don’t fuck with this guy. Beachcomber is canonically described as having a pacifist nature, and is rarely seen with a firearm.

The reason I like this is because they can take care of each other. Beachcomber need never fear because Ironhide always has his back, and Ironhide knows that when the war gets bad, Beachcomber can be his rock.

Holy mother of hell, I adore the track listing. “Good Morning Starshine” is so cheesily Beachcomber it’s adorable. Then you get Garth Brooks and “Shameless”—the perfect Ironhide song for this pairing. Alison Krauss sort of came out of left field, but this is song that made me dig this pairing, based on picturing Ironhide, Beachcomber and a river. (If you recognize this song from O Brother Where Art Thou? you’ll get why.) It’s sentiment’s sake. Gratuitous fluff middle… I hit gold here, if I may be so bold. 8D The covers suck but the track listing is kick ass.

The title stems from my mind canon for Beachcomber. TL;DR version is that he has a stutter. I’ll spare you the details unless you ask after them.
