My very first attempt at painting water… I say: Holy crap it’s tricky! Not especially happy with this sea, but it’s all right for a first try I guess. ^^
I did some research, and although the colours aren’t that realistic, I hope you can guess what it is there floating in the bottom left of the pic.

WOW! This is gorgeous. The style is breathtaking and I've never seen something quite like it. The colours are so vivid and compliment each other so well, those red clouds that seem to be rising from the water are closing in on the sun and it all feels so dynamic and stormy. There's light and dark alike in it but mixed together in a crazy rythm that seems to suggest the whole of life itself. I'm in love with it
Oh, and I too know what you mean about practice. Everything takes me so long and sometimes I really have no patience especially when it comes to detail work.

The water actually started off as an accident. I was messing around doodling and suddenly realized: "Hey! This could be turned into water!" ^^
Well, I hate to admit it.. But practising do help. ^^ I just really suck at practising! I wanna get it right from the start! ... ... ... Need I mention that never happens?
