"You've got this, Spiritpaw!" Despite being alone, and the words aimed towards myself, I said the words aloud. I felt nervous but that was overtaken by my excitement.
It was time!
My gaze was caught onto the darkness, as I entered it seemed to take my vision whole.
I'm not sure how long its been, when I first heard the crunch, my fur bristled upwards, spikes that screamed my fear out to the world "Hello?" I spluttered out, my eyes darted around, there was only darkness. I swore I heard loud, heavy breathing somewhere - or everywhere? I slowly back up - only to jump back as my paws stept on some leaves. I glance to my paws, they were still - or would've been if I wasn't shaking. The breathing got louder, louder and only louder, I knew that whatever was there could probably smell my fear, I swallowed, my throat felt tight, my ears pinned back, slowly, I raise my head, my gaze locking with purely white eyes in the solemn blanket of the night.
