Description SO THIS.

This was just supposed to be a doodle that would help me escape from doing work, but it ended up being a very involved project. It took me a good deal longer than many of my other pieces, but I am pretty happy with how it turned out, so I think it was worth the time.

The background is supposed to be the contents of Dean's pockets strewn out in one place, to represent where he (and every member of Team Free Will) has been throughout the season and the show. I struggled with deciding whose pockets to explore, but figured that Sam's would be too technical and neat and Cas' would be empty!

I chose to focus on the happier, more innocent "relics" Dean might carry around in his pockets, and took a few artistic liberties with details.

i'm very glad you like it! i tried to tell a story with the stuff that was in his pockets, so i'm happy that came across. i didn't intend it to be as detailed at first, but it sort of snowballed.

this is amazing! I don't know if you saw the anime version, but there is a scene where Dean is throwing things out of his pocket, and he had a super-cute keychain... a very not Dean-ish keychain (you can see it here if you want to [link] )

Oh god you don't know how hard I faved this! I have such a spaz out when anyone draws something this detailed... i spend five/ten mins browsing it all close up! I love the little notes from Sam and the receipts and lists.. gah!! Thank you for putting so much loving detail into this - its a pleasure to peruse! AND I HAVEN'T EVEN MENTIONED THE TEAM FREE WILL DRAWINGS YET! How cute are they! Cas checking out the camera is by far my fav but they're all adorable! Lovely!

Oh, thank you so much!! It was a ton of fun thinking of little things to add to it like that. I actually found that fortune on the floor of my bathroom and thought it fit Dean perfectly. I guess that's an example of inspiration striking under odd circumstances!
