Bri is an average height doe with a very long mane and a dainty tipped tail. Usually she goes unadorned but when she feels like getting dressy she has green (trumpet vine) vines draped over her neck and tail with daisies and brown-eyed susans woven along the vines. It is simple, elegant and all she feels like dealing with because, really, who wants to deal with butterflies and bees all the time? Very long legged with a slightly longer than average body Bri resembles a hackney pony, if you really need something to compare her to, with large brown eyes surrounded by long, pale lashes.

Brighid is a doe of many faces. Her favorite being a gentle and considerate lady with a timid streak and a seeming inability to make a final decision on her own, or express any sort of back-bone. While she’ll stand there whispering encouragement to another or finding ways to make the worse idea into the best idea Brighid manages to conceal the darker, seedier and unpleasant sides of her Nature. Like every coin, Brighid has two faces and, again like every coin, she can’t always land face up every single time. Eventually someone is going to see the dark side of her.
So what is this darker flip-side? Brighid is a compulsive liar, manipulative, conniving and more than happy to play others into conflict and against each other. She adores watching drama unfold around her, seems to thrive off of it, as long as she is not the literal heart of that drama. She loves to instigate others into reaching beyond their means and standing up for themselves and while always giving the illusion that she’ll stand beside them and support them she’ll not once stick her own neck on the line for another.
Besides this Bri is a very prim and proper, apparently anyway, princess. Always grooming herself to the point of obsession and forever focussing herself on being the absolute best example she can be. She desires nothing more that to show up the pale, beautiful, perfect princesses and she’ll do anything she can to make her goals work. Obsessive-Compulsive, though whether this is a natural state for her or something she developed over time during her neat-freak obsession as a youth is uncertain, what is certain is that Brighid will never tolerate anything even the least little bit out of place making her an absolute nightmare for her hoof-maidens. She’ll never say anything directly condescending and unpleasant to her attendants but she’s mastered the art of backhanded compliments and ‘the look’.
Shallow, self-obsessed ( she is trying to be the best after all ) and a perfectionist, Brighid also suffers from one other, particularly nasty, negative face. Envy. She’s a victim of bitter, green jealousy and she’ll do anything she can to ruin those who become the spotlight of what she believes is her attention. Steal the show from Brighid and she’ll get you back for it. Practical, Brighid won’t continue to chase a bite right away if it proves too risky for herself ( so long as she’s not too caught in a jealous fit of rage, of course ). Therefore she can be very, very practical in certain matters. Especially when it comes to rank and privilege. While a commoner may be useful in some ways, in others it’s just more practical to use them and toss them aside.
H I S T O R YHistory: Uneventful, Bri has had a fairly normal life. She fell into her roll and learned as she was expected to. Her boredom, however, and desire for a rebellious streak drove her to be a side-lines manipulative thing. She started playing the commoner does and royals in games tha lt suited her fancy- the most amusing being to manipulate the love one might feel for another and pitting friends at odds over a stag. Oh glorious times! She has been most displeased with the recent changes in glenmore starting with her fright over the Great Oak, into the shock of the new Great Oak and on into thedeformed offspring of their king. She has always had her suspicions about him, what with the production of incorrect children and all ( what kind of king produces those white-splotched, deformed children!? That can't be good for Glenmore! ) Alas, Bri's response to these changes was to withdraw from the rest of the herd and avoid most contact with the nobels, especially any and all who flocked to King Drustans side.
This distressed her dear mother, Tara, because if she was hidden away then she wasn't on display for all the lords to see. Well, they knew she existed and they had seen her plenty. If any of them decided to keep their heads out of their rears and turn from Dru then they'd be welcome company, chaperoned of course! A few times Brighid has interacted with the lords since the great Oak was repaired but she thus far has remained unimpressed by them and, apparently, they by her.
"A princess," mother Tara would tell her after each unsuccessful meeting, "has a duty to the herd, Brighid. You are not upholding your duty by chasing the lords away." To which Brighid would reply with an exasperated eye-roll and a sigh 'Mother, if they're poor egos are that hurt simply because I chose to not stroke it then they're not worth the effort of reproducing. That sort of stupidity should not be unleashed on Glenmore." This usually ends all arguments with her mother until recently. With the upheaval of Drustans- no longer King- revelation her mother had redoubled her efforts to insist that Brighid behave. There were lords trying to become king. She could be their princess. Brighid held her tongue on the argument and has remained quiet about it since. There really is no explaining anything to Tara when she gets her head set on something- such as how Brighid was never going to be a pristine pale and proper princess at birth. Instead of lightening up after she dried she remained a fairly dark, but rich, gold color.
