Haha, no, I do love Code Geass to bits. But this one line totally annoyed me throughout the series. If they're going to speak English in Japanese media, at least do it properly, like this guy .

SO. I first learned about Code Geass through magazines and fanart on Devart. At first I didn't want to watch it, because 1) I had a life to attend to, no matter how much I didn't want to, and 2) it was labeled a mecha anime. Now, I didn't have a very good history with mecha animes- the only ones I've watched are Gundam Seed and Gurren Lagann. Gundam Seed was horrible- it was frustrating with its soppy love stories and bad scripting, but it dragged you in with its dramatic storyline. However, the genre was redeemed a great deal by the Gurren Lagann series, so I decided to give it a try.

I started watching at 3 PM yesterday.

I stopped watching at 4 AM today.

OMG IT WAS FREAKING GOOD. I only stopped because I realized I had to stay awake for church, but if I didn't I would totally have watched the rest of season 2. I'm also in love with that trumpet that plays at the more dramatic points. I classical instruments.

So, in order to express my feelings of love for Code Geass and procrastinate on homework, I doodled this short comic strip.

Well, unless it's really well done. I know of a Japanese singing group that speaks English pretty well- you can barely notice they're accent. (Forgot their name, though)

Naw, I don't watch much Bleach. But I know what you mean.

I dunno, though, sometimes the Japanese accent works for them. The opening song for Ouran High School Host club has English words, and it works pretty well with the lyrics. At least, in comparison to the English version............

Brilliant,Exciting,Atmospheric,Beststorylining in any show ive seen,I mean,I don't even have enough words to justify it,thats how great I think the series is,Just sheer brilliance,I never knew anime was so much better than crappy american shows like Camp Lazlo.Infact,In R2,I thought lelouch had some screws loose,well he did,but I was beginning to dislike him,because he was getting a little too evil,but wow,I was surprised that it was his plan all along to kill himself,and for a more than good reason,I mean,It caught me off gaurd,after I figured it out,I thought,This is the most bad to the bone anti-Villian in the history of shows,except Godzilla,but anyway,I really think the show was perfect,and an R3 wouldn't ruin it I think.if they did it right.

Mmm, it's kinds dispersed all over the series. I don't remember which episodes have them, but if you rewatch the series you're bound to come across a few or hundred of them.

I sort of switched watching subs and dubs. Reading subs, what they say in Japanese is just background noise to me :/ I never really pay attention.
I'm leaving season 2 for Thanksgiving...or else I'll break.

Since I took Japanese class, I've been able to pick up a few things, so sometimes I'm listening when I'm done reading the text.

For instance, one I hear a lot is "kore wa," which means "this is".

Lol, but sometimes, even though I ignore it the japanese voicing gets into my head. One time I watched anime for so long that I started hearing japanese words in my head whenever someone started talking. XD

I think I've told you that already...

Ohohohoh. Maybe we can watch the second season together during Thanksgiving break.

I remember you saying something along the lines of: "Argh, I was watching this subbed anime, and at some random moment the subbers said [this is English, I don't need to translate, you guys can figure this out on your own], and I totally couldn't tell what they were saying. Aaaaaaaarrggghhh. D< Learn to speak good English, darnit!"

Hmm~ Eyeshield 21, Prince of Tennis, Hikaru no Go.... hm... The ones I want to watch more of are Black Cat, Soul Eater, Code Geass (; o, Getbackers.... And more that my brain fails at remembering.

Hmmmm... Have you ever read Yakitate! Japan? Its a manga about bread. I know there's an anime out there, but I've never seen it. Its wonderfully funny, and it really makes you crave for bread when you read it. (All the bread looks so yummy... )

Really? I've heard of it I think, but I've never read it.... Maybe I shall check that out then! : D But another good manga is Switch, by Naked Ape. It's a realistic detective/thriller manga by the manga-ka group Naked Ape. :3 I've read up to the second volume, and it really gets me eager to read more. <3
