In terms of role, Atlas’ job is keep watch of and spend time with Maple should Lebonette go out of the park for some time. On these specific duties, Atlas binds with Maple through his interests and passions in nature such as bird-watching, bird-calling, hiking, kayaking through the rivers of Groundwood, and many others related to exploring and surfing the wilderness. Even if Maple find these more dangerous than the duties she’d be responsible for, she deeply understands and admires her father being more open to spend time with her while growing up.

Outside of being with Maple, Atlas’ married relationship is quite a complex one as he finds Lebonette’s dreams in being a filmmaker quite fascinating and expresses great joy in partaking her dreams in some fashion.
