I love it, it reminds me of some of the helicopters and VTOLs in Ghost in the Shell.

Not sure if you are familiar with Warhammer 40K but this design feels very Tau. As though this were a still from from a documentary from a period during the Tau's rapid technological advancement after the emergence of the etherials and the end of the self destructive warfare.

Oh my, I know the Tau, but not that good. I a way I know what you mean, simple forms and the decals are pretty tauish, now that you mention it.

I feel like the Tau are very much reminiscent of today's military technology, their sensor cameras and weapon carriers resemble modern systems.

Pretty freaking awesome. i'm no avionics expert but it seems there is no anti-torque system which would cause it to spin around. The descripion may explain it in german and it seems like it may be a dual rotor system. Anyways, still awesome. I think you should also get some more perspectives of it if you got the time.

Thanks a lot mate! The rotors are of the Flettner type, It's not really visible from this point of view, but I hope I'll be able to upload some more pics later on, so this is better visible! Again thanks a lot!

i see i see, i suspected they were dual rotors i just couldn't see from this perspective. Flettner rotors are a pretty sick concept tho.

Yup, maybe the perspective wasn't chosen to well, for the first shot.

In reading Kaman's memoirs, he describes intermeshers as extremely easy to fly, without the control feedback loop of tail-rotor helos. I would assume the same is true for coax (though they're trickier to make), which is why Kamov can get away with a single operator in the Ka-50.

Nice model and interesting background info. I'm not too sure about the advantage of a front section which can be oriented independently of the rest of the airframe. How would this help the pilot to fly his gunship?

Thanks mate! Dunno how the articulation thing will help much, it's more of an 'looks cool' thing IMO, but I like the idea.

I agree with the above comment that it needs some decals. But other than that, this is a bad-ass chopper, definitely added to my inspiration folder. I can't wait to see some more pictures.
