My Persephone
If like that hallowed bard of old
A summer’s dream we did unfold
But cruel winter doth defy
And Persephone with Hades lie
Languishing in darkened dreams
Forgetting spring’s ephemeral wings
By my craft I do avow
To bring surcease and disallow
Your amber star should cease to glow
Entombed in darkness far below
Yet like a phoenix' burning heart
Swift from the ashes doth depart
A seraph of spring’s living flame
I summon back by your true name
And graceful zephyrs bear you here
Where I shall succor every fear
Bind your wounds and bring you peace
And from dark shadows grant release
Till you shine again like polished gold
And every joy is yours to hold
