I have always been fascinated with boxing. Being something of a sports fan, it's interesting to me how so many athletes try to say the right thing, present a certain image, etc. Especially in team sports. In boxing though, when the shit hits the fan, the real person is what has to come out of you. Its real.. even with all the corruption and whatnot. This pic represents a tough, gritty, old fighter that has ended his career on that rare high note of victory. God bless these old souls. I wish them all well.Painter

whoa.. thats awesome. its great how u make him so muscular yet he still has that pot belly that most old men get. The detail & the impressionistic color & shading mixed together makes a really cool effect.

The color and the anatomy are on point man... I like this. I try to follow boxing, although it hasnt been working as of late. I really do like this. This will be faved.

also - his right arm's muscles look a little funky. there's some anatomical errors. I like his front a lot - his head could stand to be a bit bigger. andthe lighting is kind of strange. it may be right, it's just strange.
i really like the character gestures in the background of the piece. it's a nice start/idea. keep it up :]

the texture on the ceiling and background are nice. I wish there were more of it present - like on his clothing/gloves. Not nec. the skin, though. I don't think the outline around him is working.

An excellent piece..a little sketchy around him, but i'm guessing it's to emphasize him over the bg. The gut and the salt and pepper hair are a great emphasis to show his age and condition.
