is there away to retrieve lyrics from a file that I have in my folders that has all my lyrics in txt format? In stead of relying on the internet to get lyrics or sometimes none at all.

Hey Scalpi!, getting late to the party here, I know, but how do I configure the autoscrolling for the lyrics? Cuz' I want it set to a lower height, but it can't really recognize that, so it stays on the same lyric.

Awesome work, but this plugin can't find Metallica lyrics, can you fix it?

As said 1000 times before.
Lyric retrieval is a undocumented function of rainmeter.
The plugin itself has nothing to do with it.

It's realy awesome skin. Is there a way it shows lyrics while I listen online radio stations on winamp?

If winamp gets correct metadata from the stream it should do that.

Hey man! awesome skin! I was searching for smthing like that for many months..Β
By the way, I made a modification to simplify the process of changin the player, I just created a "variables.inf" file in the root of the skin and I replaced the code Β "player" and "pathPlayer" for Β
[Variables]
include =#ROOTCONFIGPATH #Variables .inf
Wich has the code...
[Variables]
Player=WMP
PlayerPath="C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe"
I did it in each skin so to change the player you only have to change the player name and path in the variables.inf file instead of one by one
Hope it results useful for you
Nice day!

Show me your changes, otherwise i can't really help you i think.
Also i've never tried to let this, or any other rainmeter-skin with WMP, but it "should" work without any problems, at least in theory

Problem solved: it's a bug in Windows Media Player. Changed the player with AIMP, now it's working really fine.

You have to edit the Lyrics on the Sites Rainmeter gets them from, it's having problems since Lyric-retrieval is still(!) an undocumented function of Rainmeter that doesn't get much support.
The Sources are somewhere in the comments if you need to dig them up.
I believe the first one on priority-list is Lyrikwiki, but don't quote me on that

Is there any way to have absolute control over the lyrics? You make some mentions to a .ccp file earlier in the thread, but most people (including myself) have no idea what to do with it. Any way we can just have it grab lyrics from system files, or if not, how can we change where it grabs lyrics from? A tutorial would be nice, and if you do make one, you should post it on your main page so everyone else with the same problem can see it.

Well, as said a thousand times before, lyric retrieval is a (still, why?!) undocumented function of Rainmeter. So to change how this function works you would have to dive into c++ Programming.
However, you could instead replace the lyric retrieval to use Localfiles with some LUA-Scripting (Β rainmeter.net/forum/viewtopic.β¦ )
Unfortunately though, i don't have much time or need to do either of those things.

Is there a way for the lyrics to disregard a part of the title? I have a lot of titles that say "(feat. X)" or "(X remix)" and I think that the plugin searches for that part too.
Otherwise, GREAT SKIN.

This is soo good. I wish it could show the lyrics that stored in local media file (the lyrics are embed into the media files) and give those lyrics higher priority over lyrics from internet. You know, when playing non-english song, the lyrics grabber only grabs some lines of the song... Anyway, good skin <3.

Hey awesome skin, but I have one problem.
The skin only shows the first verse of Li'l Red Riding Hood - Amanda Seyfried
So when it starts it just shows:
Hey there Little Red Riding Hoot,
You sure are looking good.
You're everything a big bad wolf could want.
and then nothing more, I tried searching for the songs from the webside you say this skin finds the lyrics, and they have the full lyrics on all of them I think.

Got it to work, although it takes an extremely long time to find the lyrics. The song is nearly half-over by the time it comes up... Really great job though! Very easy to incorporate into other themes due to your great organization.
One question though: How do I make it so that apostrophes and other characters don't show up as strings of gibberish?

Flipslide In reply to Samoe97 [2013-12-29 02:38:02 +0000 UTC]
well for lyrics searching, as said so often, i cant do anything about that because of the rainmeter function...
don't have any problems with apostrophes, sometimes the lyrics grabber will do something strange, but thats again not a skin thing, other than that i would need more info about that one
