This is my first The Son of Neptune art.
I have read the book and enjoyed it so much!

On the SoN cover, Percy brusts out of the river and onto a... what, a piece of the glacier he had destroyed?
The cover looks really awesome and make Percy look like a great hero or something (he is, but the 'great hero' thing is not like Percy. I like the annoying seaweed brain better.) .
But this picture shows the scene right before he busts out of the river in a really-cool way.
Percy and the Legion's standard is having a cold swim.

Colored with color pencils and used some sharp ballpoints.

edit- I cleaned up this picture with photoshop. Looks a lot better.
