Description
This oilpainting(part of my Greek-collection -painting)(yes,still an "old one"(lol)is very typical for Greece.Nearly everywhere you can see those beautiful-coloured houses,with the doors and windows usually in blue,but sometimes also in red or green..On some islands,you can find them everywhere, in small streets,and further away,in those cheerful colours.I think ,it's very charming.but the landscape on the islands are fitting with".Of course,if you would paint all the houses here in my village with those colours,it would not be the same...
The title is suggesting to come upstairs,and to have some coffee(ice-coffee)we are calling "cafe-frappé"(although this is french,lol)that is the "speciality"in Greece:You take 2 coffespoons of "nescafé"",1 spoon of cristallsugar,1 big glass of icecold water,(some milk(if you like),and ice-cubes,all this in a "shaker",so you shake(hehe)and than you've got a splendid "cafe-frappe"with a nice froth on it:delicious! All this to explain in fact,that we Greeks are of great hospitality, that is the first reason,and the second:I think I would like to have some cafe-frappé!!!it's hot outside,there are geraniums in my garden,so,I have a lot of "artistic imagination:I imagine myself in Greece now!Hopa!
