He trailed off as he was consumed by his thoughts. There's a reason for it though, You see when a monster falls and turns into dust... the monster soul that has fallen is laid to rest. Maestro is worried about a monster of their kind falling into the depths of negativity and slowly having the music within the monster's soul falling silent. That's a very terrible thing to happen, especially to a monster of their kind. It's like they're alive but they're practically dead, In the inside.

Like zombies.

They have lost their senses and stripped of their will. In time these monsters will assume a form.... a bio-luminescent floral form. The only sign of life that their soul will be giving during this form, is emitting a blue glow. After all they're still alive, and will forever be alive without rest. The only purpose they will ever have and the only reminder that they were once monsters of sound is that they repeat anything they hear.

They turned into what other monsters of the limitless multiverse call...

"The Echo Flower."

Forever in service for those who would want to use the only ability they have left to resonate sound.

A lot of monsters after the great war with the humans fell into this condition, before and after being sealed in the underground. Since then these flowers has scattered through dimensions, jumping over timelines, travelling through the tiny threads that connects the world of Underbeats across the other Universes.

This is what Echo Flowers are... they were once lively, interesting monsters of sound that lost their music. In the world of Underbeats... the bed of Echo flowers that shroud Waterfall is actually a graveyard for all of those who have fallen into this state. Although they do not know what kind of monster they were when they still had their music, they still pay their respects.

So if a monster of their kind has fallen into the grasp of silence it will take some time before it becomes irreversible. Meaning they can never change them back to what they were back then. So while they just recently fell silent, they need to be "jump-started" to keep them from turning into another Echo Flower. They must have company at all times, to remind them of their music, to help them move on, to remind them to LIVE.

"Life is too precious..."

So, remember that little goopy Maestro I drew wherein I put in a tiny sneak of his hand? Yes, This is it. Now you know... and a bonus lore that comes with it. I hope you enjoy the art work...
