Prince Daemon Targaryen was a member of House Targaryen, the brother of King Viserys I Targaryen, and the husband of Rhaenyra Targaryen. Daemon was the most experienced warrior of his time and wielded the Valyrian steel blade Dark Sister. A dragonrider whose mount was Caraxes, Daemon declared himself the King of the Stepstones and the Narrow Sea. Daemon was described as dashing, daring, and dangerous; unpredictable and quick to take offense. He was as charming as he was hot-tempered.
