Two young ponies trotted through the door to a black colts bedroom. "Cool room!" Zap apple smiled, looking around the room at his many posters and collectibles. Thunder closed the door and sat next to her, "Yeah i guess"
Zap apple looked up at him, "you okay? you look like something's wrong?"
Thunder shook his head, "I'its nothing, don't worry about it"
The orange pegasus' ears pinned to the back of her head "okay... well what did you want to tell me?"
Thunder took a deep breath and stood up "there's something very different about me that you don't know about..." Zap apple looked at the stallion, tilting her head in confusion.
"Tonight is a full moon right?"
"uh... yeah? i think so"
He took another deep breath, "just... don't be scared of me, okay?" With another confused look from zap apple, he did it. He changed from a pony to a huge lumbering wolf. Zap apple watched her pony boyfriend changing to a wolf. Terror struck her body, she quickly backed up as fast as she could, hitting a wall, she pinned herself to it and stared in horror at the pony, or wolf, she thought she knew. "y-you're a wolf!?" she managed to stammer.
Thunder's ears were down and he hung his head "i didn't chose to be like this you know.... but you don't have to be afraid, i know what i'm doing, i've trained myself to ignore these horrible wild instincts..."
The orange mare couldn't believe her eyes, she just didn't know what to do or say... "Thunder... why didn't I know... even if you never showed me and told me, i would've been prepared for this, this is a whole new thing, i-i don't know what to think..."
"Then please, just think of me as the same old thunder you love... please, i'm begging you, I love you and I don't want to lose you for something I never had a say in being."
Before her, he turned into who she remembered, only somehow... felt different. He hugged her, tears threatening to fall from his eyes "im sorry... i can't change who i am... i understand if you don't feel the same way about me anymore..." He pulled away from their hug and looked away.
Zap apple, conflicted between love and fear, stared helplessly at Thunder, his expression killing her internally, but fear rooted her to the ground, she couldn't touch him now, he was unpredictable, she was.... scared of him...

The first time Thunder showed Zap Apple his true self. She didn't like it at all, she feared him, and for a few weeks after this, she acted very strange around him.
