In the German version he has black hair. owo'' And you've drawn him in white with red runes (?), so SPOILER was that after Max was killed?

His hair is still black, but natural black hair tends to have red and brown highlights, though most people tend to use blue. Also the texture I used lightened it up a bit too much 
I actually don't remember which book I had been reading when I drew this, so it could have been in reference to that, or I just might have been lazy and didn't feel like drawing clothes, which happens a lot haha. I like your idea more, so we'll go with that LOL
As to the runes, that was more of a mistake than anything. I wanted them to look more realistic, and they were supposed to be older runes that had sort of faded.

My heart went nuts. I really feel I need to give you something in return. I love it all, but Jem...he is so beautiful. (they all are, but that one struck me) You with your awesome skills, are simply amazing. I can't stop staring, and squealing. I have had a very busy very long weekend, and I was dreading work until now. Seeing that just brightened my entire life. I'm honored and flattered, and though I can't take claim to Cassandra Clare's stuff, this story is a very big part of me. Its been so much fun, and has inspired this little small town girl to actually write my own book. Can I hire you to do a commission for that? ^.^
