Shining Friend Chica tells the gang about Susie, her sister Samantha, and the search for a doll in a race against the clock many years ago. About a year had passed since Afton had murdered the 5 children and made them possess the main 5 bots at that point and none of them were happy. However, Chica's spirit, Susie, was different. She had the ability to see colors in people's voices and judge how they were feeling by what colors she could see, and could even sense the life-force of plants and animals. As a result, she had more power then the other spirits and was able to do things that they couldn't. Such as be able to leave the pizzeria and go back to her home and allow Chica to leave every night to come and get her. For Chica to do that, Susie had given her the ability to turn invisible so that no one would see her. Susie appropriately called this ability: "Anim-stealth" she was a very imaginative girl. The other bots and spirits tried to to get her to do the same for them, but it was of no use, Susie's powers only worked for Chica.

She would tell Chica and the others about what was going on at her home and how her mother and sister, Samantha were doing. But recently, she had been thinking about why she was able to go back to her house, and why she had this nagging sensation that she needed to do something there. The tree in her front yard, Oliver, was dropping his leaves and she could sense him getting ready for winter, as well as her binding to her home home weakening with every new drop of a leaf. She couldn't explain it, but she knew that if she didn't do what she needed to do before Oliver lost all of his leaves, then she wouldn't be able to go back to her house until springtime when all of his leaves grew back, and she didn't want to wait that long. But the problem was, she didn't know what it was that she needed to do, and Chica and the other spirits and bots were of no help.

It wasn't until she had overheard Samantha telling her mother about her most recent therapist appointment where she had talked about her and Susie fighting over a doll named Gretchen before she went "missing" and that she felt really bad about it. That was when Susie realized that she needed to find Gretchen and reconcile with her sister, and that that was what she needed to do before Oliver's leaves all fell off. She told the group this and that since she wasn't able to pick up things in her current state, she needed to find a way to tell Samantha that she had to find Gretchen. So the next day, with a lot of effort, she managed to write out a message in the form of pictures to Samantha about what she needed to do and what was happening, and thankfully, Samantha understood.

She spent the next day and night looking for Gretchen, and when Chica came to get Susie that night, instead of taking Susie's hand and walking them back to the pizzeria, she went into the house and up to Samantha. Susie tried to stop Chica, but the ritual that she had set up for the two of them didn't allow her to move until Chica took her hand. Chica called back to Susie that she was going to help Samantha find Gretchen and went into her room. She found Samantha hiding under the bed and she screamed when she saw the giant robot chicken in her home. She tried to reassure Samantha that she wasn't going to hurt her, but the little girl tried to escape out the window and into the kitchen. Chica tried to make a grab for her but she accidentally ripped her nightgown in the process. Scaling the house, Samantha managed to make it into the kitchen and started frantically opening cupboards and drawers trying to find Gretchen. When that place turned up nothing, she maneuvered her was past Chica and into her father's study. She searched the place and managed to find a hidden compartment where Gretchen was sitting patiently. She took the doll and got out of the study and ran outside and waited in front of Oliver. Chica saw the little girl running outside with the doll and smiled. She went back to Susie, took her hand, and made their way over to Samantha. After a tearful reunion, Samantha gave the doll to Susie and she and Chica went on their way back to the Pizzeria just as Oliver's last leaf fell from his branches.

The gang was moved to tears by Chica's story, and had deduced that maybe Susie was a "Wicken" a magic caster that got their power from nature and animals. That would explain her being able to sense the life force in things and seeing people's emotions through their voices, and why she seemed to be more powerful then the other sprits. Chica then went on to say that ever since then, Susie had kept Gretchen in the back room of the old Pizzeria, and that when she and the others had been freed back in 2014, Gretchen had vanished along with them. Ever since then, whenever she saw the falling leaves of a tree in autumn, she would think about Susie, Samantha, and their bond of sisterhood that remained unbroken even from beyond the grave.
